There have been days when I couldn’t bring myself to face the day.

These are a few small habits that have helped me feel a little better—not because they solved everything, but because they reminded me that I could still take care of myself.

Getting ready first thing in the morning.
No loose pyjamas or oversized T-shirts. Instead, I put on clean, well-fitted clothes and my favourite perfume. It instantly shifts my mindset and reminds me that I still have some control over my day.

Going to a nearby café for coffee.
Sometimes, all I need is a change of environment. Stepping away from the space that’s making me feel stuck and spending an hour in a café with a different energy can make all the difference.

Talking to a friend who listens without judgement.
Not someone who rushes to fix everything—just someone who listens. It’s one of the most underrated forms of therapy.

Fully indulging in my skincare routine.
The eye patches, the sheet mask, a big glass of water… I give myself permission to slow down. After all, why should my skin suffer because of how I’m feeling?

Going for a walk in the park.
Just me, my headphones, and my walking shoes. Every step seems to quieten my thoughts a little and ease the anxiety I walked out the door with.
